Leaving on a Jet Plane...

On Wednesday, the Irish Life Experience spent their final day in Galway, shopping and picking up last minute souvenirs. There were already many misty eyes and a few questions of, "Can we stay longer in Ireland?" Later that evening, we had a special dinner planned for the students at Monroe's Tavern, celebrating the past three and a half weeks of an amazing and incredible journey together. Students gathered around for a delicious meal, shared memories and laughs, and simply enjoyed each other's company. On full stomachs and heavy hearts, we returned on Brian's disco bus to Gort na Coiribe-to pack our bags and have a final presentation. A slideshow of beautiful pictures of the students over the course of the program, followed by a gift exchange between the ILE Students and Staff. It was a special way to conclude the program. We will never forget the cherished memories and friendships we made on the Irish Life Experience. They will be ones we hold dear to after our long tearful good-byes, which are not good-byes, but simply hellos to be continued next time we meet again.
