Irish Promises

To promote Irish culture in Puerto Rico, I will teach my friends Irish slang words and how to play different Irish sports. I’ll also tell them about my fun trip in Ireland with the ILE. -Connor Cassidy I, Evan McCullough, swear to do my best to spread Irish culture when I return home in the fashion of promoting Irish sports, food, candy, culture, the ILE, and most importantly Lucozade. I will start a hurling club. I will teach friends and family Gaelic. I will share pictures. I will tell friends to sign up for the ILE I will teach friends Gaelic football. -Tom Connelly I will…, support the Irish fests and parades. Tell more people at LWN and Frankfort about ILE. Tell my friends and family about my experience in Ireland and what I learned while I was here. I will bring my kids my here someday. -Alyssa Breidigan I promise I am going to keep the Irish culture alive by: Joining an Irish club in Dillon. Furthering my education on Irish history and literature. Playing around with hurling and Gaelic football, even if I am alone. Promoting the ILE program. Becoming an ILE Counselor in a few years. Coming back to Ireland. -Sallie Sams How I will keep Ireland alive: I will learn to fiddle…., And then maybe learn a few Celtic songs. Wear my ILE T-Shirt. Dye my hair 'till it’s saturated, an orange homage to the country side. And also speak Gaelic and talk about legends. And always plan for the day-someday-that I’ll come back. -Sasha Fierce I promise to: Talk to my Irish English teacher, Mr. O’Brien about the ILE. Enter in the Miss St. Patrick’s Day contest. See if I can be involved at the Hibernian House. Practice the Irish National Anthem. Further my own studies with Gaelic and Irish culture. Watch videos on YouTube about how to Irish dance. -Kelsey Dunne I, Molly Fitzgerald, promise to promote Irish culture by: 1. Drinking more tea. 2. Baking scones for my friends. 3. Promoting the ILE. 4. Studying more Irish history. 5. Staying in tune with Irish current events. 6. Reading Irish literature and authors. 7. Passing those books onto others. 8. Joining an Irish association. 9. Teaching others Irish sports. My Irish Promise is to..., I will promote Irish culture by promoting the ILE and sharing all I have learned about Irish culture with my family and friends and by teaching my siblings hurling and Gaelic football.
